Computer Network Infrastructure
The most extensive group of services in our portfolio is the provision of technical infrastructure for computer and telecommunication networks.
Structured cabling systems, based on both metal and optical cables, are the cornerstone of such networks. Cabling systems are built to the latest standards, but also take into consideration the future development of systems for high-speed LANs.
All networks implemented by our company are subject to final measurement and certification of their entire system using calibrated special-purpose measuring devices.
For high-speed LAN operation we use active elements (switches of 2 to 7 of the OSI layer) of the Ethernet family (Fast, Giga, 10Giga), as well as other technology (TR, FC, TS).
In both LAN and MAN, we successfully use media converters (metal/optical) and speed converters for easier access to the medium.
The area of "cable" technology is suitably complemented with wireless communication, based on elements working in both licensed and non-licensed bandwidths.
For the purpose of higher serviceability of optical networks, we use WDM and DWDM technology (wavelength division), or special multiplexors. This technology increases the capacity of optical networks by several tenfold.
Telecommunications run via standard branch exchanges, phones, faxes, ISDN end devices, long haul modems, xDLS devices, and recording devices.
All the above-mentioned services include: design, documentation, implementation, measurement, diagnostics, and maintenance.
Convergent Networks
In the modern area of convergent networks, we provide IP telephony services, hybrid telephony, IP end devices (SIP, H.323, MGCP), media gateway (analogue, BRI, PRI, SS7), SIP servers, and of course the measurement and analysis of convergent networks, as well as solutions to the problem of the transition from ISDN/QSIG to IP.
Dealing sites
In the Czech Republic we specialize in the construction of dealing sites and trading halls, including equipment rooms and dealing-related equipment. This primarily involves voice, computer, visualization and ergonomics systems.
Network Measurement, Monitoring, and Performance Tuning
In the area of computer and telecommunication networks, we provide the services of measurement, monitoring, debugging and performance tuning. For these purposes we use sophisticated measuring devices and tools, manufactured by WildPackets, SunRise Telecom, Fluke Networks, and Aurora Sonata.
In computer networks we carry out analysis and active monitoring of Ethernet (802.3x) and Wi-Fi (802.11x) networks (all protocols), and also tests of network usability for voice services by IP – VoIP protocol.
In telecommunication networks, we carry out: measurement and analysis of SS7, DSS1, CAS, QSIG, TN1R6, and 1R6 protocols, measurements of E1 flows from SDH, PDH devices, analysis and elimination of synchronization problems on PDH level, SDH, and consultation and inter-connection tests between telecommunication providers in accordance with ČTc – RIO 2002.
IT Services
Our services in the area of technical infrastructure also expand into the IT area, mainly in the form of HW and SW implementation and optimization of network sources.
We also carry out the implementation of data storage devices, namely NAS (Network Attached Storage) and DAS (Direct Attached Storage).
For IT administrators we offer "total cleaning of HDD" and HDD documented disposal. These services are carried out by a Logicube professional device and mostly provided to banking, insurance, and government organisations.
Another practical service we provide in the IT area is the relocation of IT infrastructure and HW and the subsequent restoration of the original state. This specialized service is provided according to clients’ individual requirements and is based on both years of experience and knowledge of a wide range of IT portfolios.
Other Services in TI for IT Area
As a part of building technical infrastructures, we also build light current technology: STA, EZS, EPS, MR, CCTV, IP EZS, IP CCTV, EPS inspection, and EZS. We also install standard 230/400V mains electricity and lighting, and provide inspection of electrical equipment.
In the field of AS technology (access systems) we specialize in raising security levels in the application of biometric interfaces.
For specialist interiors (e.g. listed buildings, luxurious interiors, etc.), we build non-standard cable lines and wiring.
We specialised in building control rooms, server rooms, computing centres, colocation centres, and secret rooms for the purpose of certification by National Security Bureau.

Quality management system
CATEGORY has an established and well-maintained quality management system and is the holder of a certificate complying with the requirements of Czech standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001. The company has subsequently established an environmental management system in accordance with Czech standard ČSN EN ISO 14001 and an occupational health and safety management system in accordance with Czech standard ČSN EN ISO OHASAS 18001.
